This allows Goodsol Development to provide the program for free.Absolute Yukon Solitaire uses the AdGateway system from Conducent Technologies. This software is responsible for the advertising banners in the program. The advertisements are downloaded to your machine and stored for later viewing. Absolute Yukon Solitaire is designed to function off-line. However, if the user clicks on an advertisement within the program Absolute Yukon Solitaire will attempt to dial your Internet Service Provider (ISP), should you be off-line. Absolute Yukon Solitaire can also be played online. Playing Absolute Yukon Solitaire online will increase the variety of advertisements shown. Privacy ConcernsWhen a user installs Absolute Yukon Solitaire, he/she will be prompted for demographic information. This does not include information that would identify the user, such as name or e-mail address. This information is used to deliver banner ads that are best tailored to the user's interests. Should a user wish to not fill out this information, the user can simply click on the "cancel" button to opt out of the survey.Because Absolute Yukon Solitaire is advertising enabled, it will keep statistics regarding your use of the program, such as average sessions of use, average session time, daily ad displays and ad click-throughs. When online with Absolute Yukon Solitaire running, Absolute Yukon Solitaire will attempt to contact Conducent's servers to retrieve new advertisements and to inform Conducent of its accumulated usage information. The information transmitted is restricted to that information necessary to determine which advertisements were shown how many times and whether they were clicked on. No information is transferred that could identify the user personally, and the data is used only to build aggregate statistics so that advertisers may be billed for the total number of advertisements shown.
