The 29 other original new games are Acey and Kingsley, Bald Eagle, Batsford Again, Big Apple, Big Dozen, Canfield Rush, Colonel, Crossroads, Doublet Cell, Eighty Thieves, Elba, Four by Ten, Leap Year, Lily, Lucky Piles, Mystique, Nunavut, Pitchfork, Scorpion Head, Seven by Five, Straights and Pairs, Strategie, Suit Elevens, Sweet Sixteen, Ten by One, Thieves Rush, Triple Left, Two Castles, and Zeus. All of these games are original games not seen in any solitaire collection before. |

![]() Virginia Reel | Virginia Reel is a classic solitaire game invented by Albert Morehead & Geoffrey Mott-Smith, the inventors of games like Gargantua, Bristol, and Strategy. Virginia Reel is a highly strategic and interesting game where cards are built in 3 rows of foundation piles. It's a tough game. Also included is the new game Royal Parade, on which Virginia Reel is based, and a 3 deck version of Virginia Reel called Three Up. |
| Double Pyramid is a two deck version of the classic Pyramid game. It's an original game invented especially for Pretty Good Solitaire. It is played just like regular Pyramid, except that there is a much larger double top pyramid to clear. |

![]() Family Plot | Family Plot is a new variation of the popular game The Plot. The Plot is one of the most difficult games in Pretty Good Solitaire because of so many restrictions in the rules. Family Plot eases some of these restrictions, giving you a fighting chance to win the game. It's an original game making it's very first appearance anywhere. |

Pretty Good Solitaire is the biggest update to Pretty Good Solitaire ever! For 6 years we have updated Pretty Good Solitaire each year, but never before has there been so much new in one version. Take a look at all the new fun in Pretty Good Solitaire 500: |

![]() New Card Artwork | Pretty Good Solitaire 500 features brand new original card artwork, for both the front and backs of the cards. These new cards are designed to not only look beautiful but to be very readable and playable. And now the cards themselves can change! You can download new card deck sets and change the card fronts and backs. New card sets will be added regularly, so check back often. |
|
Now there are 2 new card sizes, a smaller size and a larger size. With the smaller size cards, you can now play games such as Spider and Sea Towers in 640x480 resolution. And with the small cards, you can play games with huge numbers of piles of cards. And for those of you with large newer monitors, the new large cards size makes the cards appear much larger in higher resolutions. Combined with the new card artwork, the new card sizes make Pretty Good Solitaire 500 look better than ever before! Best of all, you don't even have to set the card size! Pretty Good Solitaire 500 can automatically determine the best size of cards to use based on your screen resolution and the particular game. |

![]() Screen Shot of the new original game Triple FreeCell | For the first time, Pretty Good Solitaire 500 contains 17 new 3 and 4 deck games in addition to the standard 1 and 2 deck games. Most of these new games are original and unique to Pretty Good Solitaire 500. Play new games like Triple FreeCell, Quadruple Canfield, Triple Yukon, Triple Scorpion, and many more. |
|
Pretty Good Solitaire 500 features a number of new options. You can now change the card animation speed in 3 different ways: the animation speed of general play, the animation speed of AutoPlay, and the animation speed of the automatic game saving. Options are now fully explained in the game itself - no need to even look at the help file! |

![]() Screen Shot of the game Gaps (also known as Montana) | The game Gaps, which is also known as Montana, has been completely redesigned for Pretty Good Solitaire 500. With the new smaller card size, the entire game can now fit easily onto the screen. A new Rules option has been added to Gaps. You can select between only 2 shuffles allowed or unlimited shuffles. In addition, 2 new variations of Gaps have been added: Spaces and Aces and Free Parking. |
| The game numbers from 1 to 1,000,000 in FreeCell are now compatible with the FreeCell game that comes with Windows. That means that if you select a specific game number in Pretty Good Solitaire 500, the game position is exactly the same as that game number in the Windows FreeCell game. Now you can play the solutions from the FreeCell catalog of game solutions at http://www.freecell.org in Pretty Good Solitaire. This also means that the research into unsolvable FreeCell games now applies to Pretty Good Solitaire FreeCell positions. For example, the game number #11982 is not solvable in Pretty Good Solitaire 500. It is the only unsolvable game number less than 32000. |
